I’m probably going to date myself by saying this, but I was around when UK-based Gary Barlow was still performing alongside Robbie Williams and three other guys as the boyband Take That. (They started around 1989…figure it out.)
Since the group (un)officially disbanded (they appeared and sung as a quintet once again during the closing ceremonies of the 2012 Olympics) Mr. Barlow has kept himself busy with a solo career and as former head judge of the X-Factor talent show.
Sure, summer’s almost over, but there’s still the early parts of fall when you can still wear this; albeit paired with more somber bottoms.
Instead of a plain charcoal-colored V-neck, one with a contrasting band is a more suitable—and fresher-looking—approach.
The perforations on the shoe aren’t a bad idea: They keep your toes dry especially if you’re the type that sweats down there quite a bit during hot and humid days.
Again, going with a blue theme here, this belt picks up on both the blazer and the tee.
Pocket square, $35, Billy Reid
You could hardly see it, but I think that’s the great thing about the choice of pocket square, it’s a very subtle dash of flair.
This functional pair of pants is a great addition to your now-shifting wardrobe.
